“By the time I went to my appointment, I felt as if my entire body was failing.”
Before I met Dr. Lee, I was living a life no one should ever live. I worked from home as a financial trader, which was a good thing and a bad thing. The good thing was …
… that I worked for myself. The bad thing was that I worked by myself. It made my life unbearable as I never left my home, I was alone the majority of the time, and when I wasn’t trading, I was asleep, depressed and had no energy. I would cry and not understand why, and I wouldn’t even leave my house for food—I was asking my friends to drop off food at my house—when just a year earlier I was very active and loved to go to the gym and even did pilates.
I went to my family doctor and gynecologist, but they could not figure out why I felt so bad. All they wanted to do was put me on anti-depressants, but I would not take them. When a friend referred me to Dr. Lee, I really didn’t want to see another doctor. But my friend, who is a doctor himself, kept telling me how good he felt because of Dr. Lee’s care, so I decided to give him a try.
By the time I went to my appointment, I felt as if my entire body was failing. Dr. Lee did some advanced testing and learned that I was suffering from severe adrenal fatigue. He also found that I had a very low progesterone level, and one of the lowest vitamin D levels he had ever seen!
Now, all I can say is WOW! He changed my life! I’m on bioidentical hormones and I’ve reversed my tiredness and I’m enjoying life again. I can’t remember when I’ve ever felt this good. Dr. Lee also figured out my vitamin deficiencies and other imbalances. Then he got me to eat healthier and I lost some weight.
Plus, thanks to my improved health and natural supplements, I no longer take any medication for high blood pressure. Dr. Lee truly changed my life—he is amazing!

“I was tired of always being tired.”
I decided on my 53rd Birthday that I was tired of always being tired, overwhelmed, anxious, irritable and unable to sleep—and I didn’t want to feel that way anymore! …
… I’d read about bioidentical hormone replacement, but the doctors I spoke with were not familiar with it. Then I saw a magazine article about Dr Lee and I made an appointment with his office immediately.
From the beginning, I felt very comfortable with Dr. Lee. I was impressed with his expertise and the fact that, unlike other doctors, he really listened to me! After testing he started me on progesterone right away. I had been lacking this hormone for many years due to a partial hysterectomy at 42, and I started feeling much better within months. I was less irritable, less anxious, had more energy and was finally sleeping well!
It was then that I started to notice some of the symptoms I had experienced in two of my daughters. So I brought them in to see Dr. Lee and, just as expected… low progesterone and low serotonin levels in both of them—even though they are only 18 and 21! Now, they are both on bioidentical progesterone and doing great. The 18-year-old is less anxious and less irritable, and the 21-year-old is less irritable, plus her menstrual cycle is finally regular.
I highly recommend Dr. Lee and am always referring family and friends of all ages to the Institute for Hormonal Balance. Dr. Lee has improved my quality of life and helped my daughters. I’m sure he will continue to do the same for us and others.

“My primary physician had diagnosed me with low testosterone, but was having trouble bringing it back to a healthy level.”
After being in good health throughout my life, I began experiencing some general aches and pains, poor recovery from exercise and increased fatigue. …
… I’m a psychologist and that means I’m sitting for several hours a day. In addition, I’d recently turned 40 and so I figured that the onset of middle age, combined with sitting at work all day, was negatively impacting my overall physical well-being. My primary physician had diagnosed me with low testosterone, but was having trouble bringing it back to a healthy level.
After seeing a magazine article about Dr. Lee, and reading that he’d been the team endocrinologist for the Cleveland Indians (I’m a baseball fan!), I decided to set up an appointment. On our first session, he conducted a thorough history of my symptoms and spent a great deal of time listening to my concerns. He set up a plan for some blood work and, upon receiving the results, recommended testosterone injections and vitamin D supplementation.
Now, after a year of working with Dr. Lee, my testosterone and vitamin D are consistently at optimal levels, my energy has increased greatly, my stamina has improved and my aches have reduced markedly!

“Other doctors simply prescribed thyroid medicine and sent me on my way.”
Before becoming a patient of Dr Lee’s, other doctors simply prescribed thyroid medicine and sent me on my way. For years (I’m 53 now), no one listened to my …
… complaints of, “this isn’t right yet… I’m still so tired… I’m feeling drained.”
Dr Lee’s depth of knowledge, of both the medicines and the physiological workings of the body, has given me back good health, enabling me to live my life with energy—with a “full tank of gas.” Tracking all the components of thyroid functions, including T3, and looking at the whole picture of what I personally need to stay healthy, is what I most appreciate about Dr Lee.

“I know how to listen to my body now.”
I went through early menopause at 28 years of age. That was over 20 years ago, and I was put on hormone replacement therapy; however, I only took the drugs for …
… about a year. I was always sick to my stomach and had severe headaches, so I chose to stop the drugs on my own. I was confused as to what to do for hormone replacement and felt there was not enough data on what effects these drugs could have on me, so I did not take any drugs for over 20 years.
At 50, I began having symptoms of fatigue, brain fog, weight gain and no energy. I had already gone through the normal symptoms of menopause—night sweats, hot flashes, short temper—years before. But now, I began experiencing hip joint pain, lower back pain, knee joint pain, leg cramps and shin splints.
Then one day, just over a year ago, I had finally had enough. I went to Dr. Lee to see if he could customize a hormonal balance program that would work for me. He conducted numerous tests and determined that I had osteopenia bone density, low calcium, low vitamin D levels and low progesterone levels. He also did an MRI on my brain and found a pituitary tumor—which was probably the cause of my early menopause. He customized a plan for me that treated me with proper nutrition, vitamins and natural hormones. I am so grateful for his guidance and helping me achieve hormonal balance in my life. I now feel that I can live my life to the fullest. I know how to listen to my body now, and I will continue to follow proper nutrition, healthy eating and a proper exercise program. Thank you Dr. Lee for helping me see the light.
